How we handle your data

1. Who we are

This website is operated by The Goat Hub (“we”, “us”, the “Operator”), an international online trading community. For privacy questions or to exercise the rights described below, contact us via our Discord server or at [privacy@goathub.network].

2. General

We collect and use personal data only to the extent needed to provide a functional website and our content and services. We do not sell your data, and we keep the data we process to a minimum.

3. Server logs (hosting)

When you visit the website, our web server automatically records the following in a log file:

  • IP address (truncated after a short retention period)
  • Date and time of access
  • The URL requested
  • Amount of data transferred
  • Referring website (referrer)
  • Browser and operating system used

Purpose: keeping the service stable, protecting against attacks, and diagnosing errors. Retention: [7 days / 30 days — please configure].

4. Google Fonts

This website loads fonts from Google Fonts (Google LLC, USA). When the site loads, your IP address is sent to Google's servers so the font can be delivered. See Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

Optional: self-hosting the fonts avoids this transfer entirely. If you do that, this section can be removed.

5. CoinGecko API (live price ticker)

The header shows a live price ticker for BTC, ETH, SOL and BNB. Price data is fetched from the public API of CoinGecko (Gecko Labs Pte. Ltd., Singapore). Your IP address is sent to CoinGecko's servers once per cache period (currently 5 minutes) when the ticker refreshes.

6. Local storage

We cache the fetched prices in your browser's localStorage under the key gh_ticker_v2 to avoid repeated API calls. This is not personal data and is held only locally in your browser. You can clear it at any time via your browser settings.

7. External links (Discord, X, Instagram)

Our website links to our Discord server, X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram. When you click these links you leave our website, and the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.

8. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, and to object to its processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 1.
